Trick of the Brain

by EpithetPoet   Oct 12, 2005

When onyx irises whisk me away
To a land enchanted, unknown
I'll blame your golden flecked fingers
Hidden behind your eyes untold

Surrounded in a milky white ocean
With few waves dotting the course
I'll guide my ship toward a glimmering star
Searching desperately to find the source

Darkened sky of a painful arch
I lie mesmerized by its glow
Fall timidly into the silky ocean
Its heat enveloping my soul

Drowning in this happiness
My heart can only feel the pain
As i realize you'll never see me
And it was merely a trick of the brain

*I wish i could say how much i want to be with you

    Like a mirage.

Sad piece girl, Touching and those mixed feelings one gets when reading pieces of yours.

Take care, love forever & always my friend.
