Life of the rich and the poor.

by david kessel   Dec 4, 2003

The lower you are
On the totem pole
The more you watch what you do
'Cause every mistake,
Big or small,
Can boomerang back on you.

A guy with the jack
Won't give you no slack
While he can do all he wants-
Like make you wait
When he comes to work late
After a night at his haunts.

Not that it always works like that
In every possible case,
But if you are a spoiled rich brat
Your life has a different pace-

You live more at ease,
Your work is a breeze-
You might as well be retired.
While poor suckers work
For a spoiled rich dork
And pray that they don't get fired.

The rich have more room to make mistakes,
And money provides them a cushion,
While every mistake that a poor guy makes
Can prove to be his execution.

And that's how it is-
Our world is like this
To the rich it will treasures unfold,
While indigent dudes
Will be popping qualudes
To forget their lot in this world.
