My Texas Angel

by .Just Jessie.   Oct 13, 2005

My precious Texas Angel
Your scent that lingers is still sweet
To remind me of your presence
Until again when we will meet
It makes me think of the past
And all the tears and laughs we shared
It reminds me of all the lonely times
When I thought there was no one here who cared
The thoughts of elementary fights
And grade school arguments
The years have flew by so quickly
Recalling all the times we've spent
Remembering the cooling sensation of the ice
The sound the keys had made
Wondering if y'all were wrestling
Or if you were getting laid
How the noise on the window sounded
How fast they saw us dance
Trying to figure out
How hair got stuck in the zipper of Bob's pants
How the balloons had floated
All around the room
When Nathan wanted to come out and play
We felt as if we were doomed
The shrooms that dangle from our necks
The 2 dollar bills
Talking for hours in your bed
Having the time to kill
Thinking of all "our" songs
Crying every time one is heard
Not having something to rhyme with line two
Bringing up again the ICE-berg
All the cards received and gived
All the material things
Them not being able to ever add up to
All the joy to me you bring
Staring at your pictures
And them looking back
Being nostalgic about everyday
When you is what I lack
Over sixteen hundred miles away
You make me incomplete
Reminiscing over how it was
Going from the front to the back seat
All the inside jokes which led to more
All the times I misused words
Like Vagina, Muffins, and Ketchup
The ones that couldn't be misheard
You remembering the secret to life and being patient
When games is what I played
Thanking God we reunited
For all the memories made
Knowing if I listed all the memories
It would take from dusk til' dawn
Like Feminine Hygiene says
The list goes on and on...
Recollecting memories like these
Being impatient to make more
Keeping in mind you will always be
My Peanut, My Shining Star, and My Texas Angel now and forever more!!!
