It's True Love

by SethM   Oct 13, 2005

I gave you twelve roses
Their beauty defys all others
I make you a promise
I'll stop loving you,
When the last rose dies

An dI keep this promise
And the roses slowly wither
You think one of the roses poses
A comfort of everlasting
This rose does not grow

Many years pass
My love for you grows
You notice something about that rose
You didn't notice before
It was a special one

It's red like your lips
Has thorns like us all
It's delecat like wet papyrus
It's soft like velvet
And it's plastic...
