A PIECE OF HEAVEN

If I could
I would make a place for you
full of bliss and vivid colours,
an eden of lushness and serenity,
of peace and passion,
with days of fiery exhilaration,
and nights of soft jasmine dreams
that come to life upon waking,
a place where you can find
a contented calmness
from the frenzy and weariness
and crowdedness of your life,
a place of light and wonder
where we can
be happy and live in
a love so pure and deep,
it never ceases to amaze us
each new day
and though I'd like to
create this fantasy place
to give to you,
to take you there,
a piece of heaven for us,
I don't need to,
for paradise exists
wherever you are at.
