In between lovers who cannot kiss away incommunicado hearts the distance marks its presence by the slow fade to gray of once familiar terrain-the body the warm touch once felt inside now the cold heaviness of distance as walls close in absolution turns to suffocation the press of silence, of spaces between where once was filled with the other now embraces air people change and forget to tell each other. A.D. Fallon and Gary Jurechka circa 1998-1999 (Note:This is a collaboration piece written with April D. Fallon, the poem is credited to both writers listed)
