Look and See

You look but don't see
The suffering in me
My cuts you glamorize
And never sympathize
My external bleeding
Has internal meaning
Don't frown and turn
Ask and you might learn
What effects me and how
In the past and right now
You could give me your hand
Tell me that you understand
Your love can heal all my pain
You told be before, say it again
My cuts and scars can disappear
My heavy cries you'll no longer hear
Scars left, physically and mentally
Will fade, just like it's meant to be
Me and you entwined in each others arms
A million miles from my self harm

My boyfriend used to not understand and this poem is about then.... He's fantastic now though.
