Lone Tree

by Ana   Oct 14, 2005

Alone by your own will
Hurting by your own pill.
Alone you stand
In your own little land.
You tell yourself you don't need anyone
And tell everyone to be gone.
Like a tree you stand in the darkness
Denying anyone who can bring you brightness/
Building your strenght alone
So that no one can take it from you.
Walking your own steps
So that no one makes you fall and fails you.
Alone you speak your mind
Ignoring the need of your heart and leaving it blind.
Blaming everyone, even yourself
Screaming aloud, but not asking for help.
Live the way you choose to live,
But know this, you have a lot to give.
If you keep it inside you
You will lose your heart and leave it behind you.
Walking this path you will survive,
But is this how you really choose to live?
Cause remember in the end,
Even trees need company.
In the end, even trees must trust.
