Nature's battle: The Water's call

by Ana   Oct 14, 2005

As the waves crash on the shore
I feel the cold water on the floor.
I like a siren the ocean cries
as humanity sucks it dry.
I try to listen, try to understand.
I listen closely to her demand.
As I feel her sorrow, I listen to her cries,
"The world is going to die."
I grab my chest and gasp for air,
I look around, there's no one there.
I am alone, I listen to her cries
of "The world is going to die."
I listen again,
"Our efforts have been in vain.
We've tried to save you,
but nature will forsake you.
We can do no more,
you throw our gifts out the door.
Emotions have gone,
humanity is done.
You pollute my waters,
but I still cry for you, but it does not matter.
My tears are in vain,
you have nothing to gain.
Nature will wage a war,
her anger has gone far.
My child beware,
you'll find no comfort there.
Do what you will with what you've heard,
try and save the world.
For the elements favor you,
and we'll not forsake you"
With the oceans last word,
I've made my decision. I will save the world.
