Truly a beautiful poem Daniel. Even more so once you read it the second time, knowing about the hidden message (well, part of it).
I did wonder about the title at first, but now it makes perfect sense, of course. Yet another secret message worked into the poem. I don't imagine it's an easy thing to do.

Wow.. i gotta say, well first off, thanks for reading my poems and commenting. and secondly, you are amazing. how u pull this off is beyond me. it would take me so much practice and concentrating my emotions, to ever get a poem so well written out and well thought. how do u come up with ideas for hidden messages and such? oh please give me hints lol. help me write better. i envy your work. your truly insiprational..... and my favorite line of yours is
"I lay upon the whitened ground,
To observe the blackened sky"
i dont know why. maybe just the color contrast. but it just caught my attention.... oh man... well im off to read more of your work. your definitely on my favorites list
