Nature's battle: The Fire's call

by Ana   Oct 14, 2005

Sitting in the dark, I see the fire grow
I look around for leaves to throw.
The fire grows inmensely as I fall
a voice screams, "Get up kid, don't be dull"
My mouth opens as I stand and walk.
Did I just hear the fire talk?
I receive my answer as it goes on,
"That's it, the world is done.
Soon enough your stupid planet will be gone.
Who am I to say this is done?
I am fire and you are not.
But there might be hope that you don't rot.
Humanity might be saved after all.
But becareful that you don't fall
because it all depends on you.
One wrong move and you're through.
I don't like the idea of a human doing my duty,
setting the world on fire by mistake, what a beauty.
Here is my warning,
and don't start mourning.
For the world isn't dead yet,
you might save it from Nature's threat.
So beware kid,
don't do what they did.
Don't piss of nature unless,
you want to lose to her special game of chess.
I leave you with this words.
Think you can save the world?"
I see the fire go small again
and I think about the pain
Nature must feel enough to wage a war
and to me choose to warn.
How can I fight this to win?
Whatever I do, I'll fight and wish.
