Drowning

I'm out of breath
I've fallen down
feeling this dread
I think I'm going to drown.
My lungs are burning
I'm breathing fire
I hear Death calling,
I reply with 'Liar!'
It can't be the end
I need to breathe!
Any help you can lend?
Any life I can lead?
Don't let me go
I want to live!
But even though
I'll ask you to leave
I need you to stay
and save me from me.
