Daisies and Daffodils

by Sean Allen   Oct 14, 2005

What's this world we live in?
Happiness in hours,
sadness in years,
thimbles for your smiles,
and buckets for our tears. Well

Daisies and Daffodils,
laugh at my cliche.
I'm sad, I'm sad
and I don't know when
It'll all fade away.

What did I do it for?
Love by the bundle,
hope in a bag,
burned in the bonfire. Well
I'm shredding your white flag.

Daisies and Daffodils,
cower from the hate
I'm mad, I'm mad
and I don't know when
it'll start to dissipate

What do I do now,
do I throw it away
or keep it for tomorrow
and let tomorrow be yesterday?

Daisies and Daffodils,
now down on your knees.
Well I guess I'm glad now;
come sway with me in the breeze.
Daisies and Daffodils,
you are swaying still,
and it seems there are dreams
still left for me to fulfill.

*Daisies are the flowers of innocence and loyal love. Daffodils are the flowers of rebirth.*

This is probably my favorite poem that you've written recently. The emotions and feelings that must be all mixed up in your heart expresses itself clearly in this poem. I just want to remind you that no matter what, your friends will always be there for you. I'll be standing there in front ;-)
