Uplifted

All the memories so close to me
Have faded into simple history
They don't play a part in who I am anymore
I've changed
I feel, quite free.

I let go of the me I once knew
Yearning to restart and renew
It was spontaneous and uplifting
It was brave
And now, I think I'll make it through.
