Blazing Raindrops

by Gerard Kurt   Oct 15, 2005

His brown hair gently flutters
To the winds incessant blows
But his heart does not falter,
His tears cannot freely flow.

Inside him grows the anger-
The feeling he cannot show.
His wounds does die faster
But hate, he loosely grows.

Ripped of his pride, it shows
The well-hidden secrecies.
A monster with sharp claws,
Revealed, his life’s mysteries.

The world in awe was stunned.
Jaws are dropped in disbelief.
Silenced was the joyous band.
The proven truth gave no relief.

He dropped the golden crown.
All eyes stared to the ground.
Gently sways his locks of brown,
The fear-stricken people frowned.

All eyes were pinned at him
Their royal blooded king.
A smile he gave to them,
A new reign this will bring.

Frigid was the next breeze.
Frosted were the blazing rain.
Anger’s outpour was now ceased
Another king today shall reign.
