The dad I have never known.

Never knew my dad, guess I should be glad,
Cause that is what mom told me, she said,
Don't be sad, he didn't kiss you goodbye,
He just left us and he did not even cry.

She said he is not worth to think about,
I love my mom but I still have my doubt,
I wonder was he really that bad?
And if he was, he is still my dad.

I was only a couple of months,
He must have loved me tons,
To leave his innocent daughter,
Not even look back and bother.

I watch the stars and wonder which one is his,
Couldn't care less that he didn't give me a last kiss
Guess what's never loved can't be hated,
Mom, I'm just glad we made it.

    Awwww. You are very true hun. Even though he did not kiss you or say goodbye, he is still your dad and if it wasnt for him, you wouldnt be here either. I'm glad you and your mum made it too. A lot of emotion was put into this poem and i feel a lot of hidden feelings too. well written. :) Keep up the good work hun! You are an amazing poet

    Hey great poem yet again! this stanza doesnt really make sense tho...

    "I was only a couple of months,
    He must have loved me tons,
    To leave his innocent daughter,
    Not even look back and bother."

    it kinda says two different things at once. but its still a great peom!
