I'm so foolish

I'm so foolish, I'm so stupid.
Why did I ever think I'd be the one you'd love?
I prayed and prayed; hoping one day you'd see my love.
I guess those prayers have been answered for some else.
I had no idea this was coming my way.
I never knew it would be too late to tell you, that I love you.
And now that the times passed, I wish I had told you earlier.
I didn't believe in that saying; if you love someone tell them before it's too late.
I guess I was just too damn foolish and stubborn to see the reality.
I wish I could go back in time and tell you those three words.
Even though it would cause me pain.
