Too Attached

How do you know when you're too attached?
How can you tell if he's the one for you?
How can you figure if its love at first sight?
How do you know when your heart is telling the truth?
Do you feel a certain way?
Do you do certain things you shouldn't do?
Do you see yourself with someone else?
Or in his eyes do you see him with you?
Do you embrace each other to show that you care?
Do you nod, walk by, or just say hi?
Do you play too much or too little?
And when he breaks your heart you try so hard not to cry.
Should you pour you heart out the first week?
Do you have sex your first year?
Do you keep back questions you really want to know?
And try not to shed so many tears.
Can life still go on?
Even when you feel incomplete?
Can you still see his face every day?
And come to find out it doesn't belong to me.
Relationships come and go.
But, why did this one have to go so soon?
Maybe it's just I like you too much and I'm so attached.
And you think about me every blue moon.
Am I too attached to you?
Or is it something I just want to feel?
Can it be I'm not the one for you?
But how come what I'm feeling is so real.
Just follow your heart and wherever it leads.
Laying soft in their arms is where you should be.
Since I'm so attached, I have to let you go.
I don't know why this shit backfires every time I let my true feelings show.
My heart still wants you but my mind says no.
So I'll find someone else and somewhere to go.
I'll like you forever and I hope we can still be friends.
So if this is how it happens, then this is how it ends.
