It Was You

by AsTheCrowFlies   Oct 16, 2005

Here I lay
Knife in hand
Blood running from my already scarred wrist
Wanna know how I came to be this way?
It was you, yes you
Someone I thought loved me
Turns out I was wrong
You only wanted to play
A painful melody on my heartstrings
Then leave me crying and breathless
Lying on my bedroom floor
You wish to be my friend
But do you know
I can't even look you in the eye anymore
I can still feel your touch
It sends shivers up my spine
Your kiss
It still lingers on my lips
Your face disturbs my sleep
And your name I call when I awake
I want to hate you
To curse your name forever
But instead
I hate myself
And instead of you
I've cursed myself
With the burden of scarred wrists
