The Last Dying Riot

by Fig   Oct 16, 2005

The death is corroding all beauty and light
The sun slowly dying, gives in to the night
An age for the darkness is waking at last
All beauty is sickly, and fading too fast

But in this mortality, freedom arise
Soars in new dignity, before its demise
A last dying riot of radiant day
A colour eruption, before fade away

The skies in rebellion, whilst lead to their death
Scream of new beauty in their dying breath
The leaves, though the ghosts of their ancestors shade
Wash vivid in colours, eternally made

All existence and living, rampage afore fall
The freedom of Autumn, before cold conquers all
The phoenix of season is fading too fast
The age for the darkness is waking at last
