We started out as 6th graders, ready to explore,
We were told that middle school years, were the years we'd mature.
We were told that friends made in middle school would be cherished until the end,
We were told so much information it was hard to comprehend.
That September morning, we were excited as ever,
We were wished good luck on the journey we'd endeavor.
We walked in the long hall and grabbed books from our lockers,
Trying not to be late for our next class.
Locust Valley and Bayville schools, combined and came together,
Little did we know, that all these people would become our friends forever.
We learned our schedules and where to go,
We learned all sorts of short cuts from high to low.
As the days went by, and the months too,
our first year in middle school stuck like glue.
All the memories made from beginning to end,
we knew that weâd cherish them through out the years yet to come.
The next year came around we were not the babies anymore,
We knew that 7th grade would open a whole new door.
We knew our way around, and how to get to classes on time,
We knew that we had to be in class as soon as the bell gave a chime.
Then as the days and months of 7th grade passed,
We knew that our years in middle school were going so fast.
Now a new year was yet to come,
8th grade was the year, the last year- the sum.
Our years in middle school are memories that we will have the rest of our lives,
Now our new expierience is just about to arrive.
We started out as 6th graders, ready to explore,
now weâll do the same as high school comes and we will mature.
This September morning we will be as excited as ever,
We will continue to be as our high school year comes, and we begin to endeavor.
But as we walk in new halls, and meet new teachers and friends,
The memories that we made in middle school will never end.
