I met you
in a very special way

during the 12 months
of being together
4 months ago
we broke from each other

so it isn't a real
anniversary
but it should still be special
between you and me

i know I'm thinking about it
i hope you are too
and even though it's been 1 year
i still love you

I haven't called you
or seen you since that day
but lately when I think about you
I smile anyway

you were my first love
but not my last
i do still love you
but you are in my past

i've met someone new now eric
he's very special to me
i have not said 'i love you' yet
and he hasn't said that to me

but that doesn't mean
he may not feel that way
because i feel something special
