I want you to be happy
Though it is with her
So I'll just keep on smiling
With the memories of what we were

I'll remember the times I had you
When you were only mine
One day it will get easier
And things like this take time

I know I have to be strong
And for my sake I swear i will
But moving on and letting go
Doesn't mean I'll not love you still

I know that we will never be
Everything we once were
But my tears are slowly drying
From the state of my tainted tear blur

I will always remember what you promised me
Even though that promise will never be true
But promises are always broken
I guess that's what they're there to do

I'm slowly getting better
And right now no tears are starting to fall
I'm going to do my best to get over you
And I'm going to give it my all

I'll keep the promises I made you
Well I'll try my very best
I'll get rid of the love I once had for you
Or I'll but my love to rest

I'll pick up the pieces of my heart
And put them back together
I'll forget all the promises you made me
Even the one about forever

I'm going to listen to what people say
And take there helpful advice

And fully move on with my life

Even though you will probably never feel the same
But in my heart forever

I'm sorry for everything i caused you
And going on with that lie
But please can we still be friends

It's time for me to move on
Instead of dwelling in the pain

I'm going to keep on walking now
And only turn around if you pull me back

And get my life back on track
