(Domestic Violence) The Strength Of A Woman

by Lisa   Dec 6, 2003

Let him stare into your eyes
Let him see what you see
Let him see for a moment what you know shouldn't be.
Let him see every second that you've had to fear.
Show him that now you're too strong, now there's nothing you can't bear.
Tell your baby boy that life isn't long enough.
Let him know that living without you may be quite tough.
But you strong willed woman, you are your own self.
Prove it to your heart that you can do without.
So I must say again, and you must listen with open ears.
That this life isn't as great as what you let it appear.

Now Powerful woman you must realize this life isn't right;
You must do yourself better, you should put up more fight.
Turn around, take a step and never look back.
The dark days will be over and the light will shine through.
Prove it to yourself you can.
Let him stare into your eyes
Let him see what you see
Let him see for a moment what you know shouldn't be.
