Here I lay Broken

by Jeremy Edmondson   Oct 17, 2005

Alone and afraid I lay in my bed.
I lay there with a broken heart.
I try and try to fall asleep.
But could you with his face burning your eyes?
A love I lost evolved into hate
Having a heart is such a waste of time.
One day you’ll understand
People with hearts are people with pain
And what how is a life of pain worth one more minute
Last night I tried and tried but I couldn’t go to sleep
Not with his face alive in my dreams
So I lay on my bed awake and tired but most of all
There I lay broken
