Evolution

by Michael D Nalley   Oct 17, 2005

Evolution revolution the Creator has no voice
Teachers teach children learn they have no choice
Intelligent design it takes a lot of time
Creationism is mysteriously sublime

Our ancestors began way back when
There were no women and men
The truth we all try to escape
Our closest relative was an ape

The laws of nature we must abide
From the fossils we cannot hide
The six divine days that it took
Were written in a holy book

The Creator created all the laws
The Savior saved us from our flaws
A story where nothing is left to chance
Is now viewed by most as pure romance

But God still speaks to those with belief
With merciful kindness heavenly relief

I 100% agree with this. i loved it. most ppl dont write about God and everything. and usually when they do it seems like they're trying to say their right and everybody else is wrong. but this poem didnt feel like this. great job.

I didn't quite get it...do you believe in Evolution or don't you?
I'm sorry, its just that my vocabulary isnt as expansed as yours and I really didn't get some of the fancier words.
Though I'd think that you wouldn't believe in Evolution, because of the poem you wrote called Imagination.
I wrote one about religion too, called Toll Past Heaven's Gate.

The lines that I liked the most are these:

But God still speaks to those with belief
    With merciful kindness heavenly relief

This a really good poem, great lines. It's also really true, we need to believe.
    Keep writing.
