Take me to my hearse

by enfant du tordu chagrin   Oct 17, 2005

This hole it opens deeper
Cracks me to the core
Knowledge, I can't keep her
My heart it is so sore

My eyes are holes of fire
crying tears of blood
As my pain, so dire
drowns me in its flood

And as my life pours out
I feel oh so cold
Want to scream and shout
Need someone to hold

I know I look a sight
Going from bad to worse
My Darkness overshadows night
Take me to my hearse

Please..........

Another great job. 5/5, lovely flow, very well written.

    "Darkness greater than any night"
This line knocks the flow of slightly, and in the first stanza I think 'My heart it is so sore' would improve its rhythm. But overall another brilliant poem. A couple of minor adjustments and in my opinion it would be perfect.
