How many times...

How many times do we get knocked down,

Never to get up again,

Until we lose the will to continue,

In our life long goal to pursue happiness,

Only to find heartache and deceit all the way,

How many of us actually make it,

And conclude our woeful plight,

How many of us are actually as happy as we seem,

Without having to hide our dejected spirits inside,

Its easy to believe that this is all life is,

A desperate bid for salvation,

Clawing at the edge of insanity,

Hoping for a glimpse of happiness,

In whatever or whoever,

They say theres someone for everyone,

But what if they've been and gone,

Or their paths never cross,

Do we continue looking,

Only never to find......?
