Double Me

(By Emma)

Hello, double me, that I can see,
I see you hiding, coming to get me.

I hear your thoughts, and I think them too,
You like to control everything I do.

I talk to you, and you talk right back,
But my contact with others is what I lack.

I loved you at first, I gave you a name,
Called you Anna, my anorexic phase shame.

You control my deep secret, I wish not share,
But these terrible scars, I cannot stand to bear.

You've loosened your grip, but I know you're there,
I can feel your presence, everywhere.

I know you'll come back, and I know it's near,
But how bad it'll be, is what I've grown to fear.

Hello, double me, that I can see,
Please, oh please, will you let me be?
