My first love or so I thought

Just the other night I was telling my mom and friends how wonderful you were how you treated me so well and even after all we had been through you were still willing to be my friend

Tonight I realized that I had made the biggest mistake of my life. I saw that you were never really there for me I saw that the things you said went really because you were just messing around you meant them

So as I sit here and what you said kills me on the inside I will stand tall on the outside cause God forbid that I let you see that you really hurt me

I want to take this pain away but how? how do I take it all away? is there only one way ?
