Life Goes On

by Matt Carroll   Oct 18, 2005

It was so hard to say goodbye
I wish you hadn't seen me cry
I pray for all of you every night
What happened then just wasn't right

They always say the good die young
So young your songs were left unsung
So much love and so much care
But now you're gone, life feels so bare

I cannot ever forget that day
The day that God took you away
I cannot forget the call on my phone
Telling me y'all had gone home

John, my bro, you were always there
Whatever I needed, you always played fair
Your words now echo inside my mind
"my way of life, step up or step aside"

Toni, what is there to say
You were like family, there everyday
The big sister I never had
there for me through good and bad

Becky, you were crazy cool
You made me laugh, you oh so ruled
I'm sorry I wasn't a better friend
I'll be there with you in the end

Randall, I'm sorry we only crossed one time
From what I saw you were just fine
College bound, an awesome guy
Granted wings and free to fly

I miss you all so much it hurts
I'm sorry I couldn't just say goodbye first
I know you're with me, here and now
I'll see you all, someday, somehow

In loving memory of:

John Walker
Toni Gregoire
Rebecca Atwater
Randall Walstrand

Hey matt, this one is really good, if only the inspiration for it didn't have to be so sad. they sounded like alot of fun.
