Time is Frozen

by Heather Prior   Oct 18, 2005

The clock strikes midnight
But time is frozen to me.
I hear our old songs
Playing in the background
But I'm deaf to the sound.
The moon, my favorite thing
Shines in my window
But my sight is blinded by tears.
Someone holds me
But I am numb to their touch
So they walk away.

All the days we've been apart
Are filled with memories from my heart.
You, all I see
Your laugh and voice, all I hear
Your arms around me, all I feel.
No one can reach my mind
No one reaches my heart.
All I want is you
All I need is you.
The clock strikes one
But time is frozen to me.
