Hiding

Everyday we fight
over who loves who the most
although, you say it out of friendship
I say it out of love.

I don't know how it happened
nor do I know when
all I know is this feeling inside
this feeling that I try hard to hide.

How good it feels to tell you
to tell you everyday
that I love you, more, and most
forever and always.

Of course you have a girlfriend,
how I long to be her.
To see her in your arms,
is pain enough to kill.

But then you ran behind me
and swept me off the ground
and though I begged and pleaded
I was saying never put me down.

Of course you'll never know just how I feel
until it's time
until then I'll just have to deal with the pain
while I see you kissing her lips rather than mine

If she ever breaks your heart,
know that I'll be here
just as I was here before
to wipe away your tears, like you wiped away mine.

You'll always have my shoulder
we'll always keep in touch
