What is Christmas?

by Immanuel   Oct 18, 2005

Christmas is more than a joyous celebration,
More than the warmth of a fireplace.
More than a mug of hot cocoa.
It's about the expression on your face.

Christmas is more than just my birthday,
More than the double gifts I recieve.
More than the long hours Cristmas shopping,
It's about the strength of my belief.

Christmas is more than a story,
More than waiting to open presents everyday.
More than asking if Santa and reindeer exist,
It's about leaving cookies and milk anyway.

Christmas IS about getting into the spirit,
Of giving,
Of loving,
Of caroling,
Of dancing,
Of singing,
Of joyful company,
Shall I go on?
Or does Christmas meaning now change?

Christmas IS spending time with family and friends,
It is a time to embrace the one you love.
If you use the time of the year wisely,
Christ will shine on you from above.

That's exactly what Christmas is about, unless your five years old, then it's all about the presents :P lol. But really, you portrayed the values of Christmas quite nicely, was a great poem. Take care.
