You tell me to be unique You encourage self expression But you frown on certain feelings And you laugh at my depression You tell me that its okay That I don't have to lie But when I say I'm hurting You just roll your eyes You tell me that if I tell you No one else will know But somehow they find out And my distrust for you just grows You make it seems so silly When I hate who I've become You make it seem like nothing You treat me like I'm dumb I went and talked to someone else And they told me the truth There wasn't something wrong with me There was something wrong with you
