Why Her?

by Claire   Oct 19, 2005

It seems to me that I don't compare
With her gorgeous smile and long blond hair.
She's always caring and incredibly kind,
Not to mention her intelligent mind
The way she giggles makes you smile.
Every night it's her phone number you dial.

Seeing you two together makes me groan,
Jealousy I wish I would have never known.
I'd give anything to be in her place,
My life savings for her flaw less face.

Phone calls from you are not received
"You"d keep in touch" I stupidly believed,
I wonder if you're happy or if you think of me at all,
I see you with her and my hopes instantly fall.

Standing in the spot where we first kissed,
Makes me smile, then clench my teeth and form a fist,
If you're not with me,
Then WE can't be
If you're with her
Then together will be, what we were.

Thinking these things makes me cry,
I look at her and wonder why?
What does she have that I can't obtain?
You wouldn't love me even if we were the same.
