Sitting Here

by JP   Dec 6, 2003

I sit here alone and a smile breaks out on my face.
For though you're not here in my arms
in my loving embrace,
in my mind I still feel all your loving charms.

I sit here alone and dream of your succulent glow.
A feeling of joy subsiding,
a thousand smiles deriving,
when I think of the love from you I know.

I sit here alone and start to wonder
what is this special feeling
that keeps me reeling
when visions of you fill my slumber?

I sit here alone and start to pine.
The warm look in your eye,
I feel like I could fly
when I think of how you're mine.

I sit here alone and realize.
Though you're not here with me,
my beautiful prize,
with you, "alone" is something I shall never be.
