On The Sidewalk, Bleeding

by Terri Lynn   Dec 6, 2003

He's on the sidewalk bleeding
Stabbed ten minutes ago
He tries to yell for help
Yet from his lips blood flows

He remember the voice saying
"Thats for you Royal scum!"
The pain when the knife entered
And the relief when it was gone

That was a feirce rumble
He thought while layin in the rain
He didn't know that he was dying
He just felt the pain

His purple jacket was soaked now
The one with the Royals name
A Gardian probably knifed him
They were his rival gang

But then he got to wondering
They said "Thats for you Royal!"
They didn't know his name was Andy
Or that Laura was his gal

So did the stab him? Andy?
Or was it the jacket they did hate?
If he hadn't put it on
Would this still be his fate?

Suddenly is occured to him
He just might be dying
He though "Oh no, i havn't lived yet"
He wished his thoughts were lying

His mind raced, he saw laura
He saw his jacket and his crew
Then it occured to him
He knew what he had to do

He turned onto his stomach
The pain retched so bad he cried
He freed his arms from his jacket
He rolled away and sighed

He died there in the rain
His jacket feet away
He wanted to die as Andy
Not a gang member like the police would say

Laura found him there like that
She ran to the police
When the officer saw him
He saw the jacket, made of fleece

He said "heh, a Royal"
Laura looked up and said
"sir...his name is andy
My boyfriend is dead"

So choose your choices carefully
Andy realised just too late
Gangs will get you know where
The will decide your fate.
