The Past Vs The Future

You can't go back in time is what he tells me, I am not trying to darling won't you just open your heart and see. I am not trying to go back... I want it this way right where we are at.

I do not want to change our past, I am not trying to forget the way we once were... but now we have the chance to make something real and so pure. I am me and yes you are you... but I am hoping together we can create something anew.

We are different now yes thats true, but I will always love you old or new. I know now that things are changed, and that our lives are now rearranged. I will not give up on us... your the only man I want in my life... you are my heart and I will not let us be apart.

Say we will be together forever. The past is our past lets make us a future, a future of love with you and I, and indeed no more lies. I do not want to go back in time... and sure this poem might rhyme and rhyme.. but for you my love I will give you all of my words and my time.
