I remember you would cradle me in you arms
to keep me safe away from harm
you would sing me until i fell asleep
and comfort me when i had a bad dream
you where the one i would run to when daddy got upset
and i would never let go and ill never for get
how you would wipe the tears from my eyes
and tell me you love me until the end of time
but as i grew up we drifted apart
and things where never quite how they where from the start
even though you thats not what wanted me to
i was never home i was out trying to please you
never will i forget those times at the park
when we would play until it got dark
we would laugh and sing, man those were the times
when i never ever wanted to leave your side
but you knew that this wouldn\\\'t last forever
that we will soon not be playing together
my first sleep over i didn\\\'t say goodbye
i simply walked away without a sign
not an \\\"I love you\\\" or a kiss goodbye
and now a am grown up and wish for those times
i guess when your having fun time really does fly!
