Black roses

by cowgirlstar26   Oct 20, 2005

(this poem is very random I just kinda wrote it out of no where but any feedback would be great)

black rose petals cover her floor
These withered flowers cry out, as she closes her bedroom door

She screams within the darkened walls of the room
this will all be over very soon

Why had all this happened to such a perfect girl
she had always been happy till he shattered her world

black roses ripped apart
kinda like this girls broken heart

she picks up a rose and squeezes its thorns
the clouds are rolling in creating the perfect storm

the rain falls as do her tears
rain and roses mixed with her shattered mirrors

she takes the glass and opens scars that had never healed
in the darkness all her pain reveled

she wonders what she did wrong
as she listens to favorite songs

carved in her arm was now his name and a broken heart
she knew this would happen, her friends told her it from the start

but this would all be over she told herself, then he walked in the door and to his knees he fell

he to her he would never love another
and promised to love her,now and forever

he saw her arm and pulled her close
he told her never again would she feel so alone

he held her close as she fell asleep
now her heart would be his to keep

For a second the rhythm changed and it threw me a little bit, but I really liked this poem otherwise.
