When Everythingall Fell

My name is Maddie and I have a story to tell
I was only 6 when everything all fell
My daddy tried to murder our dog, you see
But instead he hit me.
One day, my daddy came home from work, fired from his job
And took it out on our family dog
I thought he would never go this far of pulling out a gun
But he did and my dog didn't even run
My dog didn't move a muscle
and stayed very still
He pulled back the trigger
and was going for the kill
I jumped in front of my dog, rite by my dad
"Don't shoot!" I said
But before I knew it I was shot dead.
Our dog was killed early after
When daddy was pacing the hall faster and faster
He finally stopped
again pulled out the gun
daddy shot our dog once and said, "What was done, was done."
I don't know how I got to this dreadful fate
But all that killed me was my daddy's hate.
So, that was my story I had to tell
When everything all fell
