A Poem For Nancy

by Daniel Jimenez   Oct 21, 2005

Before you where given the gift of life
and before you where born unto this earth.
I knew you then as I know you now
I watched over you since your miraculous birth.

You used to play in My inner courts
dwelling in My house up high
Braiding the hair of My many angels
and painting with the colors of My skies.

Before you breathed your first breathe
and before your heart began to beat.
Your life first started in My throne room.
playing beneath My feet.

My voice was the first sound you heard
the first sight you saw was I.
I remember holding you in My arms
the first time you ever cried.

My precious child I love you so
how much you're yet too know.
But then came that day not long ago
that I had to let you go.

I heard a couple's sincerest prayer
A child they wanted, I heard their cries
So I bestowed on them my little girl
in hopes they'll love her as much as I

I was there when you opened up your eyes
and I cried when you smiled at my face.
My love for you is eternal
and you will always be in My grace.

I knew you before you even existed,
and I'm the author of your ways.
Remember that I guide your steps
and I'm with you all your days.

A lovely poem. God is good. And Nancy is blessed.
