Self Discovery

by Tess   Oct 21, 2005

Roads to self destruction
Nothing standing in my way
To stop the life I had chosen
From taking me away
I was a little nervous
One shadowed whisper deep
An ear to ear discussion
To follow what was weak
With one hand that was shaking
I left a mark to be
It showed the aching pain
My heart had come to see
No pain did it awaken
No capture it arose
Nothing all that special
Just what I chose
Not once have I regretted
The releasing of within
My soul was once a prison
And no one was let in
My heart for once was empty
There was a space to soar
Discovered I was happy
As I had won this war

Very good combination of words. I liked it. I must say still, that a heart filled with friends, feels a whole lot better than an empty one
