Innocence gone

Stillness within.
Overwhelmed with emotions.
Eyes glossed over,
Ready for tears to fall.
Shivers of fear,
Aching inside.
Mouth dry.
Hope gone.
Stealing away the innocence,
Unable to reach out of the dark.
Shadows take over,
