My North Star

by Joanna   Oct 21, 2005

Lost, troubled, weak.
Who am i to turn to but you?
Who out of nothing paints a smile on my freckled face
making my blood rush, toes curl
with a single breath.
You who leads, holding my hand
carving the unblemished path towards heaven, my angel.
Holding my rose of life,
cherishing, nourishing, forgiving are you, my love.
Through winding roads, mountains, rivers - wretched knots-
we remain united.
For nothing else matters when my thoughts are yours.
One day you shall carry me to paradise with you, my north star.
