The Happy Ending :)

by Mild insomnia   Oct 21, 2005

How many times have I hid my tears from you?
I've lost count.
But I know I'm tiring quickly,
and darling I can't go on forever anyway.

So let the scars spill the words,
onto the carpet,
and in my blood, our story be written.
There's nothing like a twisted tradgedy...

Will you die with me tonight?
Come on and lay down by my side,
kiss my lips,
and slit your wrists,

we don't have to keep pretending,
that there might just be a happy ending.

It's not for us
'cause it's not for me,
and I hate to hold you back.
But I need you,

like cancer needs
the tissue of my lungs
and I'll die young,
by my own destruction.

I can't lie to you anymore,
I'm the smoke that fills your tidy living room;
the candles on the floor;
and the flame that climbs your curtains,

but I loved you
Yes I loved you.

Let the fire die, let the world rush by,
and hold my hand so tight.

Kiss my lips, slit your wrists,
and this might be our happy ending.
