The Elvis Scarf

by ♪AlwaysOnMyMind♪   Oct 22, 2005

A scarf is all she wanted
A piece of silk from the king
You may not understand it
It's an Elvis fan thing

Elvis grabbed a scarf
and with the flick of his wrist
A slight little motion
Just a small twist

The room fell quiet
The scarf landed on the little girls neck
But in a few moments
the happy girl was a nervous wreck

Someone snatched it from her
She started to cry
She could've snatched it back
But she was too young and too shy

Elvis stopped his band
And went down on one knee
and said to the little girl
this is from me

He grabbed her hand
And with a grin
He smoothed her hair
And held her chin

He got his chain he always wore on stage
And placed it on the girls neck
And in that moment
She was happy as heck!

Elvis Presley gave you that
And ain't no one can take it from you
These words Elvis said,
Shell remember them no matter what shell ever do

Elvis motioned to his security
Keep an eye on this girl here
And to this very day
This memories to her is probably still very dear!

Now you know the true story
Elvis had a great and generous soul
Anyone that would ever hate him
Must be a fool

It was nicely written, just be careful with the flow.
