Life is crazy
Life is hard
It leaves you wounded
and then leaves you scarred

You try to be you
While others want to see
You perform your act
In the show called REALITY

A smile for one
A positive attitude for another
I'm trying to be me on the inside
While someone else under cover

I just want to peel off this mask
And finally close the curtain
Show's over folks', It's just me
a normal person

Maybe one day happy
And then two days sad
Maybe at times calm
And at other times mad

I can't wear a smile
Painted like a clown
I don't want to be up
When I'm feeling down

But I'm okay on my
Rollercoaster of thinking
I'm still treading water
While others think I'm sinking

Just give me some time
and give me some space
soon, once again, You'll
see a smile upon my face

It won't be there 24/7
I cannot wear it that long
But that doesnt mean I'm pissed
Or that anything is wrong

Maybe I'm just thinking
Or maybe taking a break
Remember...
