Roots of our Hearts

by Jacklyn   Oct 22, 2005

A baby's birth
the rooting of a seed
Beginning of it's growth
of learning how to deal

Sprouting out the ground
taking daylight, and rain
Learning right from wrong
gathering all it can

Aging circles exist
leaving memories deep
The wrinkles of the past
surviving through the storm

The oldest roots of all
sharing wisdom of the heart
Teaching them to grow...
teaching them to fall
